For Bay Area Business Continuity and Government Relations executives, help set the direction for Bay Area flood mitigation efforts in the next 18 months.
Join the CRA, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and Bay Area Council on August 15 at partner company Google HQ for lunch, peer networking and a discussion with leading experts on flood risk, mitigation, and the role the business community can play.
Bay Area Flood Risk
Bay Area businesses, infrastructure, and communities are at increasing risk of flooding. Many existing levees are quite old and do not meet federal flood standards and with expected sea level rise and more intense storms, the region is under increasing risk of severe flooding that could cause billions in damage.
A partnership has come together to address the issue under the leadership of Senator Dianne Feinstein to protect and restore Bayside lands, and improve flood control. This partnership is anchored by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, as well as business associations such as the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and the Bay Area Council.
The business community has a lot at stake and engagement is critical to the success of the public-private partnership, to help advance the work already being done. We look forward to this meeting, which will help set direction for the next 18 months.
Please RSVP: Seating is limited. Meeting details and RSVP link here or below.
