Event Description

On Wednesday March 25th,  please join Mayor Libby Schaaf, city departments, regional and federal agencies, Oakland-based nonprofits, community-based organizations, and businesses to kick off Resilient Oakland and the 2015 Community Resilience Challenge.

This event brings together two exciting initiatives - the launch of Resilient Oakland, supported by the 100 Resilient Cities, which is pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation; and the 2015 Community Resilience Challenge, which is supported by a collaborative of community and regional organizations.

The event will begin at 9:30 am with a light breakfast and opportunity for networking. The first half of the day focuses on engaging you in identifying key resilience challenges in Oakland. The second half of the day focuses on providing participants who are stepping up for the 2015 Community Resilience Challenge with the opportunity to learn about successful community-driven resilience projects and plan their own.  A light lunch will be served.
