San Mateo County OES Private Sector Forum

San Mateo County OES is announcing a county-wide program to enhance preparedness, build disaster resiliency and support economic recovery after disasters. This can only be accomplished by ensuring direct communication between the business community and county and local emergency managers.

We know that timely disaster information is crucial and often hard to get. Disasters are not the time to be exchanging business cards and looking for help. In San Mateo County, we must establish these relationships now because they are critical to safety and recovery.

Our goal is to re-vitalize the partnership between the business and emergency management communities in San Mateo County. We wish to explore and establish how to communicate directly during disasters and how to sustain an effective partnership that will support post-disaster recovery.
