CARD - Collaborating Agencies Responding to Disasters
What is your job title?
What is your role during a disaster or in preparedness/planning?
In the preparedness and planning phase, CARD provides tools, trainings, and facilitation services to address the range of emergency services needs of nonprofits and the vulnerable people they serve. CARD offers a fear-free, research-based, alternative curriculum designed to respect the realities of the communities we serve.
In disasters, emergency activations, exercises, and drills, CARD serves as the single point-of-contact for nonprofits and faith agencies inside the Alameda County Emergency Operations Center (AlCo EOC).
In the immediate aftermath of a significant event, CARD will also offer "Just In Time" (JIT) trainings, facilitations, and convenings to support the efforts of service providers.
Post-disaster, CARD works with agencies to activate and implement their continuity of operations plans.
24/7/365 CARD works to transform the entire emergency readiness conversation into a fear-free, empowering, sustainable pursuit for all. We help our partners Prepare to Prosper!
